I'm starting to become a little suspicious of these goodbyes...
I also hope that you understand what I'm saying here.
There is usually a time and place for EVERYTHING, but somehow, we all seem to get it wrong. I mean, there's this weird thing with the people around me, where they start a random conversation then leave.
And sure, they can do that because we're not really that close (usually it's that case), but that's not the worst part of it all.
If you can guess (since you're smart), the absolute WORST bit of it all is when they randomly say goodbye and then your "group" seems to walk separate paths. BUT WAIT! -You're not walking separate paths, but are following the same route and it's awkward.
This is what leads me to be confuzzled, since I don't know whether to start another topic of interest, or just stay quiet for the rest of this long somewhat thirty second trip. It's a dilemma I'd never want to go through again in a week or so, but I do for about three times a day.
Also, there's no chance whatsoever in escaping this trouble, since if one person says goodbye, you'd have to return it to them if you don't want to seem like a stuck-up prat. Also, you'd have to make your reply timely, so that you don't look like an utter imbecile.
*sigh* Society, what am I to do with you?
